Gymnastics, gymnastics, gymnastics! I'm from New York so I LOVE Team USA, but I'm also a huge fan of many international teams and athletes so my posts won't be super biased. Florida defeats Georgia 197.525 to 196.825

FLORIDA (floor)

  • Amy Ferguson - Music was too low when she began and she had to step off but just a minor glitch, 1.5 to front half to punch front (awesome!), front full to piked front punch also awesome, good routine - 9.85
  • Randy Stageberg - oh my lord a full twisting double pike and I think her heel went OOB like a centimeter, but mylanta that was amazeballs. Pretty double twist in the second pass and a great double pike to finish! - 9.775
  • Alaina Johnson - incredible arabian double front to start, 1.5 front layout, double pike in the final pass but stepped OOB with one foot - 9.75
  • Marissa King - double layout landed with one foot OOB which is too bad because it was awesome, stuck double tuck but a little low, awesome double pike to finish - 9.8
  • Ashanee Dickerson - incredible arabian double front to open, perfect double pike, ends with a chomp - 9.925
  • Kytra Hunter - Almost goes OOB on the double layout but windmill-arms like crazy because she is NOT giving away that and she does! Other passes are incredible. No complaints here! - 9.95
  • TOTAL: 49.3 - low, mostly due to three of the girls going OOB!

GEORGIA (beam)

  • Noel Couch - solid bhs loso and switch side, terrible arm choreo, double twist off, good routine! - 9.85
  • Laura Moffatt - she won this event last week!, awesome bhs loso, nice switch leap to straddle 1/4, pretty full turn, weird CLAP choreo LOL ugh, standing layout was aaaaaamazing, gainer full off! nice! - 9.825
  • Kat Ding - bhs loso with a slight balance check, turn with a little wobble, her low to beam is SO Flashdance, I love it! Round off double twist dismount STUCK! - 9.85
  • Kaylan Earls - bhs loso LOSO! Changing it up. Split 1/4, weird/horrible side somi, full turn with a balance check, double tuck dismount - 9.875
  • Sarah Persinger - full turn with leg horizontal was slightly wobbly, front aerial was good, bhs loso with a balance check, 1.5 twist off which came off the beam on a weird angle so she had to take a step back - 9.725
  • Shayla Worley - mount is incredible and super flexibile as usual, full twisting bhs, wobble on the sheep jump, falls on the bhs loso UGH of all things, incredible onodi, and beautiful gainer full dismount - 9.3
  • TOTAL: 49.125
