Alabama beats Louisiana State 197.025 to 196.575
Despite slightly underperforming on bars, Alabama was still able to come out on top at Louisiana State, defeating the Tigers after an exciting meet.
Rotation 1. LSU did well on vault, with no real issues. They earned a 49.15 total and Rheagan Courville did best for the team, earning a 9.9 and the third place spot. Bama wasn’t at their best on bars, hitting routines but staying in the 9.8...

Its not a competition if Shayla doesn’t have a problem!
LOL, nope! It’s what I look forward to every meet!

Sharaya Musser fell on bars!!!!
Is this the first time she’s ever fallen EVER in her life!? It feels like it.

Oooh, for once Romania isn’t in the first subdivision! I think they were for the 2010 Worlds and 2011 Worlds.
Canada, Great Britain, France, and USA in one - very interesting. Looks like the US is starting on floor, which they did in Beijing.
According to The All Around, it looks like the USA will start on vault.

Marta is all knowing. I wish she would be like FIG president… but then I don’t bc she is ours & I don’t want to share. The team is so good bc of her.
I know!! I feel like it’s such an unpopular opinion to LIKE Marta but look at the team since she took over in 2001. Even look at Sydney compared to Athens!! It’s...

Yeah loved how usually it was someone first senior meet. But Marta knows what she is doing.
That she does! I trust that bitch more than I trust my own mother. When that USA Today article came out a few days ago and she said something about staying on for 2016 all of the comments were like back at...
obscurereality replied to your post: Gabby Douglas scored 62+ AA at the most recent camp!!!
Love all three of them but with Aly & Jordyn pro it just makes more promo sense. I would think.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure the fact that they’re pro is the reason why they’re doing it a third time each. Otherwise it wouldn’t really be worth it for either of them! I was hoping for...

Apparently there was some inflation due to a special “bonus” or something? But WOW. Guess she’s doing the Amanar and has upgraded bars?? I think just yesterday or the day before I said I just had a feeling about her in terms of her making the Olympic team. If she can keep this up, I don’t see how Marta will leave her off.
PS how many of you would rather see Gabby compete...

Explanation for why Stephanie McAllister received only a 9.675 when everyone in the arena was screaming for a 10.0. Spanny, Brigid and I were like “the fuck?” when her score came out, because her routine was awesome. Apparently she didn’t meet the leap requirement so they took her SV down to a 9.8. Why would her routine SUDDENLY not meet the requirement after performing it all...

THANK YOU! She is probably my least favorite NCAA gymnast. I don’t get her appeal at all. I want to turn away when she’s on the screen.

Stanford beats California 196.175 to 194.725
Stanford had a little bit of trouble on vault and floor and their numbers just aren’t where they need them at this point, but they still finished respectably with a 196.175 to California’s 194.725.
On vault they did well but just aren’t hitting the landings the way they need to. Ivana Hong did have a nice FTY for a 9.825, and Nicole Dayton was the team’s high scorer with a...

Oregon State beats Sacramento State and UC Davis...
Oregon State had a fantastic competition in a tri-meet against Sacramento State and UC Davis! After a pretty lackluster season, they somehow came out of the dark and had the competition of a lifetime, hitting every routine for a 197.4 total and sweeping the top titles on each event. Sacramento State finished over three points behind in second with a 194.175, and then UC Davis was third with a...
UCLA takes first at IGI Chicago Style with 196.85
UCLA easily won the first place spot at the IGI Chicago Style NCAA meet held on Chicago’s Navy Pier last night. While they suffered slightly on a few events and top performers threw less than stellar routines, they still managed to come out on top with a 196.85. Boise State came in second with a 196.025, followed by Missouri in third with a 195.525 and Illinois (Champaign) in fourth with a...
Nebraska beats Michigan, Washington and Southern...
Nebaska hosted a quad meet featuring Michigan, Southern Utah, and Washington on Saturday night. Nebraska had a great competition, despite unfortunately struggling on beam. They competed with a team of six All Arounders, which was interesting to watch, though you could see them kind of losing steam in the end. They had a slight battle with Michigan stay in the lead in the final rotation, but had a...
Oklahoma beats Iowa State and SEMO with 197.2
Another strong meet for the Huskers, who came out on top with a 197.2 in their meet against Iowa State (195.175) and Southeast Missouri (189.6).
Oklahoma started on vault with a 49.275, where they counted a bunch of 9.8 range scores with the exception of Sara Stone’s 9.925 for the event title. They were somewhat weak on bars, earning a 49.125, but mostly due to missed handstands and form...
Georgia beats Arkansas 196.825 to 195.875
This was a pretty good meet for Georgia, who isn’t posting top scores at this point, but is making it through the season pretty steadily. Poor Arkansas, however, had kind of a disastrous meet. It’s only the first time they’ve really had problems this year, which is no surprise, as the Razorbacks rely primarily on Jaime Pisani and Katherine Grable for the top scores. These two...
Alabama beats Kentucky 196 to 194.7
It was an okay meet for Alabama, though not their best, as they scored almost two points lower than they did in their awesome home meet against the Florida Gators last weekend. They didn’t count any falls but there were many mistakes and unpolished routines throughout the night all across the board and managed only one 9.9 all night long.
Starting on bars, the team had some decent but weak...
